People are often unappreciative or unaware of the sacrifices made by the men and women of the armed forces. These patriots give up so much for so little. They miss important family events such as births, holidays, and other important personal events. They do this so that we can enjoy the freedoms that are taken for granted by so many. “The sacrifices of the few for the many” is a quote that I heard repeatedly during my time in the military. I use it here because it is so fitting to describe my points in the following paragraphs.
