Let me start by saying do not purchase Elite Guardsmans warranty. They are ripoffs.We had a 5 year warranty on the funiture that cost $150. It was suppose to cover damage,scratches & the whole nine. We purchased a bunk bed set for my daughters about 3 years ago. The bed is falling apart. A shelf collapsed, the bottom bunk collapsed & the top bunks frame is coming down where the nails are exposed. Another crazy thing you have to do is report the damage within 5 days of occurance.I contacted guardsman about the damages and they sent me out the paperwork to fill out about 2 weeks later. I filled them out and sent it back. After that they sent someone out to photograph the damage. Then finally about 3 weeks later I get a call saying that they were not going to fix it and our warranty is going to be terminated. How crazy is that. You pay for something and they dont deliver. A complete scam. In the beginning the warranty suggestion sounds so good. Saying that you should definitely purchase the plan because the beds are for kids and kids are unpredictable. they suck you in with a perfect pitch and then when it's time to deliver on theyre part of the bargain the terminate your warranty. I decided to look on the internet and see if I was the only person with this problem. Not to my surprise, I wasn't the only one. Other people had the same issues. They purchased the goof proof plan and nothing came of it. A complete waste of money. I mean how dare them say that they can't fix it because it is damaged to much. I wan't my money back and I am going to pursue doing so. They are a crock and I will tell anyone do not purchase the warranty. It's unbelievable how they advertise everything they cover under the plan and when something that falls under it happens, they deny you. So to all my readers out there.. BEWARE of the warranty scam.kids bunk bed
