Washington Redskins Are 1st NFL Team In History To Do This
posted October 13, 2009 - 3:40pm
When the Washington Redskins play the Kansas Chiefs on Sunday, they will become the first team in NFL history to play six games against winless teams. The amazing thing is that the last 4 teams they have played have a combined record of 2-22. The only 2 wins are
against the Redskins themselves.
You would think that such an easy schedule would lead to great things, but the Redskins are only 2-3 at this point. Even a win against 0-5 Kansas City would only bring them up to a .500 record. Washington’s schedule becomes harder after this week. None their last 10 opponents currently have losing records. This includes every team in their division. It looks like the Redskins are headed for a losing season and this could be trouble for their head coach Jim Zorn. Washington’s owner Daniel Snyder is not known for his patience and a coaching change could be coming soon. The clock could be ticking for coach Zorn.
