17,000 fans will be fortunate to experience Michael Jackson’s Memorial Concert at the Staples Center. The rest are able to watch it online via the link below. I'm on the link now, listening to a commentary building up to the live broadcast. The event is causing all sorts of logistical problems - routes to the center are being closed - check all before you travel there. I hope (if it is does go ahead) that the streaming is smoother than what I'm experiencing listening from the UK.

3 screens are being installed across the street from the Staples Center but check out the details before travelling there yourself. Tickets and wristbands will be issued on Monday morning to those notified on Sunday as to whether they have been allocated a ticket.

Diana Ross, perhaps Michael Jackson’s best friend, will headline. There have been reports today (BBC) that the star is worried that she’ll break down and be unable to give the performance she wants to – one of the most stunning performances of her life.

So far there is no indication of what Ross will perform but we think Baby Love would be appropriate and poignant.
