The European Grand Prix Formula One (F1) race is being held on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the Valencia Street Circuit. Lewis Hamilton grabbed his first pole position of the season in the European Grand Prix. Hamilton beat team-mate Heikki Kovalainen to seal a McLaren front row. Brawn's Rubens Barrichello is third, with team-mate Jenson Button fifth behind Sebastian Vettel's Red Bull.
