Watch Flares on Pitch during Ukraine Vs England match

During the world cup qualifier, Ukraine Vs England, some Ukraine fans threw Flares onto the pitch, right into and around the England goal area.  Now what was the point of that?  Not only was it extremely dangerous, it disprupted the match and held up play.

I agree with you.  I just don't understand what these 'fans' were trying to acheive.  If you have the better team on the day, you'll win.  No  need to try to disrupt a match tp put the other players off, if that's what they were aiming for of course.

It's just like the English football thugs who go around beating anyone up just for wearing the wrong team colours.  I'm sure it's not just the English too.

Fans obviously overreacted and thus disrupting the game and thus demoralizing the players.Well that goes to show the agitation and criticism of the fans.Given the usual frenzy and fanatism associated with the game of football,its only logical to feel the aggravation of the fans,but that was absolutely unnecessary,I mean constructive criticism would do.
