There is a lot of excitement as the D-day for the Beijing Olympics 2008 Games Opening ceremony is approaching. This event promises to be one of he greatest show on earth. One can really not expect anything less from a nation that invented the gunpowder and the fireworks.
The opening ceremony will take place in Beijing's new national stadium, the Bird's Nest and will feature around 10,000 performers and net a global TV audience of more than four billion people. It will probably be one of the most expensive event in the Olympic history with expenses as much as $100 million being earmarked for the opening and closing ceremonies alone.
One can watch the live coverage of the Beijing Olympic 2008 Games spectacular opening ceremony on Indian television. The event is being telecast live by the national broadcasting agency on its DD-1 and DD sports channels from 8th August onwards.
The channel will cover all the events featuring Indian participants live. Do not forget to tune in to these channels at 5.30 pm to 9.05 pm on August 8 to watch the opening ceremony live and from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm on 24 August 08, to watch the closing ceremony on national channel DD-1.
