New in Town is a romantic comedy starring Renee Zellweger
In this matchup between Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr., Lucy Hill (Zellwegger) a company exec living and working in Miami and bucking for a promotion, volunteers for an assignment before she knows the details. She is sent from her warm and comfortable Miami lifestyle to the cold and somewhat backwards town of New Ulm, Minnesota to reorganize one of the company's plants. (Sort of a "Gung Ho" meets "Fargo" meets 'plug in your favorite romantic comedy here' movie)
The city girl from Miami has a lot to learn about living in a snowy climate, driving on ice, lighting fires and life in general when her temporary assignment brings her to New Ulm. It is here where she meets Ted Mitchell (Harry Connick Jr.) who moved to the area about ten years earlier. This is where the romantic part of romantic-comedy begins.
