Watch this 1973 Documentary of the life of Alfred Hitchcock online. This biography of Alfred Hitchcock, the Master of Suspense was written and directed by Richard Schickel as part of his series "The Men Who Made the Movies" and made possible by a grant from the Eastman Kodak Company.

Hitchcock starts off by stating "I think it would be interesting to talk about fear..." and goes on to let the audience know "..what happens to naughty boys."

From talking about Hitchcock's childhood, the film moves on to discuss his first English silent film when he was 27. "The Lodger" would be the start of Hitchcock's great theme of an innocent man falsely accused and his use of religious iconography in film which he would carry throughout his career.

With great film clips and discussions about some of his greatest works such as "Notorious," "Psycho," "Torn Curtain" and "Frenzy," this documentary runs over 58 minutes.
