The NFL game held on February 3, 2008 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona between New York Giants and the American Football Conference (AFC) champion New England Patriots was to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 2007 season. This was a rematch of the final game of the regular season.

There was a major upset in Super Bowl. The Giants won 17–14, preventing the Patriots from becoming the NFL's first-ever 19–0 team as well as the first undefeated team since the 1972 Miami Dolphins went 17–0.

Instead, the Giants became the first NFC wild card team to win a Super Bowl and the fifth wild card team to win overall. The win was also their first title in 17 years and their third overall.
