Wayang Shadow Puppet Play - Indonesian Traditional Cultural Event

Wayang is
a traditional form of entertainment in several Southeast Asia
countries, but it originated in the area now known as the Republic of
Indonesia. In the wayang a shadow is cast by a single light source on
the puppets. This is why the Wang is often called a shadow or shadow
puppet play. If
you are a Westerner, most likely, you will watch the Wayang from the
front of the screen. But if you are Asian you may prefer to watch from
the rear of the screen. The reasons for this are important for visitors
wishing to work or live in many of the Asian countries where the Wayang
is performed.
