Ways to save money on music
Invest in a mp3 player.
This can be an Ipod, Zune, or many other mp3 players. It will make it where you will not have to carry cd's around or purchase them anymore. And after awhile the savings can add up.
Use a music download site.
Make sure it is legal, like itunes for instance, then start downloading. You can buy a song for about a dollar. So if you were going to go purchase a cd for just one song, this can save you a lot of money.
Load all of your previous cd's onto your mp3 player.
By doing this you will not have to go re-buy any of the cd's or purchase any of those songs. If you have a huge collection of cd's, it will be a big money saver.
No more hard copies.
I'm not saying to get rid of your hard copies but save them on your computer as well. Eventually a cd can be scratched so much that it will not play. That is why you should always have backup on your computer so you do not have to go re-buy it.
Get a monthly subscription.
Some places allow you to have unlimited downloads for a certain monthly fee. I believe Zune does this. It is a great money saver if you have a large amount of songs that you want to download.
