Ways To Boost Your Memory

These are just a few suggestions that have helped me keep my memory a little bit sharper. This is by no means a cure for memory loss or alzheimers disease.

It is estimated that 5 million Americans have Alzheilmers disease. What causes this disease and loss of memory is unknown. < p>

There are some little exercises you can do to keep your memory sharp.

Cheat- Keep lists, reminders, little post-it's to remind you what you want to remember. Leave messages to yourself on your cell phone. Jot it down.

Mind Games- This includes crossword puzzles, word searches, or any kind of puzzle you have to solve. This keeps your mind working towards solving a problem.

Rest- A good night's sleep is important if you have a test. it is said that sleep improves your memory up to 30 percent after doing an activity such as a language lesson.

Your Heart-Eating right, with the proper amount of fiber, foods rich in antioxidents such as blueberries. Also regular exercise keeps the endorphins moving in your brain.

Thes are only suggestions to keep your mind aleart, not a guide or cure for prevention of alzheilmers or dementia.

I'll check that out

Thanks, I will check that one out. I haven't seen that one at the library so perhaps I can find it at the bookstore. I am horrid for forgetting names.

A good memory book

The Memory Book by Harry Lorayne is one I've always found helpful. It has a lot of tricks and reminders to help you remember names, faces, all kinds of things.
