All of this immigration reform hubbub could be easily remedied if a Great Wall were built along our southern border. It's too bad Reagan didn't have the foresight to have the Berlin Wall transported here where we could have reassembled it along the mexican border. It would've been extremely cost effective compared to building one from scratch. But nope, that opportunity's long gone, along with the berlin wall. (I suppose you could find remnants of it on ebay.)

We can still realize an effective stop to the flood of illegal aliens, a stop in the form of our own Great Wall. No tax increase will be needed to fund this wall. No financial stress at all, just have the illegal immigrants build the wall. They work pretty damn cheap. After the wall is built, give the workers a chance for citizenship as a bonus, and kick the rest out of our country.

So what about the manning and operation of the wall? Easy, this wall will be a major tourist site, just like the one in China. Funding from tours, souvenirs and the like will bring in a few bucks, and if any illegal aliens are still around hire them. They work pretty damn cheap.
