Weekend Money - Part 4
Weekend Money - Part 4
Caterer
There are many companies in this market, but most are geared towards large events, not small family gatherings or neighborhood parties. If you enjoy cooking or barbecuing, this is the place for you. If you have that famous recipefor steaks or chicken on the backyard grill, or if everyone always raves about your desserts, consider this a potential gold mine. Begin by focusing in your own neighborhood. Inexpensive fliers delivered to your neighbors’ doors would be a quick and easy way to start. Word of mouth will be your best advertising in the long run, a few doorhangers willget your business off the ground. Concentrate on the type of cooking you like to do best. If you enjoy what you are doing, it will be reflected in your product and that is the quickest way to a very successful business. This money idea really is my peronal favorite. It's the easiest one to get-in and you really can make some good extra money. My God-daughter use to bake on the weekend before she started college, and throughout her college years. She always had orders coming in for cookies, cupcakes, brownies. People love treats but they rather someone else do the work for them, and will gladly pay you well to do so.
Contract Cleaning
This is a business that can start very small and grow very quickly. Busy families and small businesses can bothuse a reasonably priced service. There are several specific markets to consider. Young families are often so busy that
weekend cleaning becomes difficult or impossible to do. Having someone on a regular basis has appeal to more andmore working adults. The elderly offer another growing market. This use to be limited to those people who couldn’t do the cleaning. But as seniors become more active and involved in retirement communities they want to spend less and less time doing things that others could do for them. This group also will have several homes and will be part time residents. This opens up the possibility of including home maintenance when the owners are away as part of the service.
Small business owners often do much of their own cleaning. This is not the most productive way for them to use their time. By providing them with reasonably priced weekend cleaning services, you are giving them back time they can use to help their businesses grow.

hi bink
They both are good business a person can get into and do very well. I know several people who specialize in baking cakes and does very well.
The cleaning service is good also, the title company I worked for contracted with a mom and pop cleaning service for our office. They're a big company, just a small family ran business that do good work.
