Weight Loss Blog another week behind me. Update

Hi friends
Well here is my newest blog on progress or it seems lack of progress but I learned a few things this last week that hopefully will bring about some positive results over the next few weeks. First I have gone to my regular 2 days a week water aerobics work out and I always feel rejuvenated afterward. I walked over 9 miles this past week and put another five miles on the cardio glider. I am eating soups, salads, wet veggies, a big protein breakfast in the mornings. But I found out I have been fatigued and need more rest and less stress, both contribute to weight gain if you have too much stress and not enough rest.

Well first partly it is my own fault, just like we have to push ourselves away from the table we have to say no to stressful situations as much as possible (some are not avoidable but there are stress relievers that can help too one being exercise, another a hot soaking bath or hot tub. Good music and a book to read. Also I have to set a bed time and stick with it. This past year I have gotten in the habit of being on my computer in the wee hours of the morning and so not getting enough rest. So now it is up by 8:30 a.m at the latest and to bed by 11:00 p.m no more of staying up on the computer until 2:30 a.m. Whatever blog or survey I have not done can wait until morning. Games will be there later too. I have gotten much better sleep the last four days and feel much more rested and got up to find I had lost t 2 lbs yipee!

I also had to have my thyroid meds re-adjusted as it was too low.

I went online as well to find some Kosher foods I can eat as I don't eat pork or shellfish. Against my relgious belief and No I am not messianic or a Jew. But I do adhere to the biblical dietary laws and am not going to eat sea spiders,(Crabs) scorpians (Lobsters) or worms (Shrimp and other shellfish) . No matter if people think they are good.

I will be off in about an hour and half to my water aerobics class and am determined I shall lose weight.

another thing if your putting on pounds that is not always a bad thing often it is muscle weight you put on before you start showing weight loss. So how do you know if your losing fat? Measure upper arms, thighs, neck, calves, chest/bust and belly once a week and keep a record and if those slacks you have been wearing seem to be getting looser try on those you hope to get into you might find your pleasantly surprised. The scales does not indicate your progress. But over time it will just don't give up and drink plenty of liquid and green tea plain no sugar between meals hot or cold. Check back later. With another update

Good Going Celanith!

Your determination is so wonderful! I have completed my first week of exercise and on to the second. Thank you for your example of "get busy". When I can put those slacks on and have them not so tight on the thighs or able to sit without having a "shar pei belly" I will thank you again! Keep going and keep posting. Your information is also an asset to others, not many realize that a weight scale is not the difinitive answer to 'are you loosing fat' or how rest is really so important in so many aspects.
