Weight Loss Tip: Cure the Sweet Tooth with This Yummy Snack!
posted August 12, 2009 - 3:26pmIs your weight loss being sabotaged by your overwhelming sweet tooth? If that is what is between you and your ideal weight, then try going with it, instead of fighting it. The more the craving attacks, the more likely you are going to stand in
front of that fridge, or cabinet nibbling on everything else hoping to stop the craving. But then finally give in, and grab that bag of cookies, or ice cream or whatever your weakness is, so that not only have you ate a bunch of cookies or ice cream, but a list of other things, while you were trying to avoid the cookies! Then you feel bad about your weight loss goals, and figure you have blown the diet now, might as well keep eating.. It can be a vicious cycle. Here is a great snack idea to keep on hand when one of those "got to have something sweet" moments arrives: Planning is everything, so next time you do your groceries, pick up some bunches of red and green grapes: pull them off the twigs/stems wash them in a colander and while they are still damp, put in a large plastic zip lock bag with: 2-3 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Shake gently to get the grapes coated with the sugar Then put in the freezer for a few hours. That is it! They make the perfect snack to pop in your mouth while watching TV, and more importantly, they cure the sweet "got to have a chocolate bar/bag of cookies attack". Or at least help you fight it off. This way you can avoid packing on the pounds, and still eat something sweet. Get rid of Weight Fast
