The following is an original poem, inspired by my new experiences with college life. Do not be mistaken, the poem does not depict the college experience, but a college experience. The poem reflects the anxiety, confusion, interaction, and enlightenment that I’ve experienced in such a short span of time. It really focuses on all the positive aspects college has to offer. Perhaps I have a biased perspective though, because I have yet to find any negative aspects on my campus. And for reasons of confidentiality, I will not be revealing the name of the university I am attending. In regards to the poem’s syntax: it consists of 20 lines of 10 stanzas of 10 sets of couplets in order to extend the lightheartedness and ebullience I feel in connection to my college experience thus far.
