Welfare Reform

Welfare Reform

I think we should reform welfare. I have an idea on how to change it for the better. I feel that every person in the United States has the right to full welfare, however it should be limited by time. I thnk everyone should be limited to 24 months of welfare, at such time the 24 months is up, they never get it again. 24 months is more than enough time to get your life straght. Most people can get a degree in that time and find a job. After the 24 months perminately cut off. Here is the offset to this, what if they get a job and its not enough to pay for them and thier family, here is my solution: Say all the person can do is be a peole greeter at Wal-MArt and tey only make 1000 a month. Lets just say they need another 800 to support thier family. I think we should supplement the remainder amount which in the end is cheaper than paying the full amount. People should be encouraged to get a job, not be encouraged to stay on welfare. I know a few life time welfare people who say, why kill myself working when the government will pay for me. This is messed up I tell them, but they dont care becuase they get thier food stamps, and thier money each month. No motivation is whats going on here. Lets motivate them by changing welfare. The government wants more money, fix welfare.
