There is a saying that people will rise to the expectation you set for them. If you set the bar low, you will see mediocrity. If you set the bar high, they may not always make it over, but they will excel. The key is keeping your expectations realistic.

So it is with life. If you go through life expecting people to lie, cheat, and steal from you, then guess what? People will lie, cheat, and steal from you. Why? Because you asked for it. Maybe you didn't demand loudly and vocally that you attract these people, but the Universe read you loud and clear.

If you go through life expecting people to be honest with you and keep your best interest in mind, you will attract those sort of people into your life.

At an unseen energy level, you vibrate at a certain frequency dictated by your attitudes and emotions. The higher frequency, the higher quality people you will attract into your life...invariably. If you have low-energy people in your life right now, say "friends" or people that give you problems at work, but work on changing YOU to rid yourself of poor attitudes and emotions, your new, higher frequency will repel those low-energy people and you will find yourself with better friends and the problems at work will resolve themselves favorably.

If you are having trouble attracting the right kind of mate, especially if you feel like you have "freak magnet" written on your forehead, just do a little work on yourself to determine what it is about YOU that is causing you to vibrate at a lower frequency. Once it has been identified and corrected, you will attract higher-quality people into your life. It worked for me.

Next time you find yourself in an unfavorable situation, ask yourself "well, what did you expect?" The answer might startle or amaze you.
