What do you teach a homeschooler?

This is in response to a question that asked what to teach a homeschooler. In addition to that, you need to look the the homeschool laws for your state to decide what the local homeschool guidelines are. Some states dictate that homeschoolers learning needs to closely resemble that of public schools, others are much looser but still require certain testing.

If you plan to homeschool your child, my best advice to you is not follow someone else's plan verbatum, but too look at all of the plans available and find the one that best suits your child's style of learning... even at that point, you may want to remain flexible.
