computer.jpgBroadband is the latest method of sending and receiving data over high speed networks. Broadband connections have the facility to connect the computer networks at speed between 512 kbps (kilobytes per second) and 4 megabytes second. This speed is much higher than the standard modem connections. In India, the speed of more than 256 kilobytes per second is termed as broadband.

Q~ why is the word ambulance written in a reverse manner on the ambulance van like a mirror image of the word?

A* Ambulances which are used for transporting patients who need urgent medical aid have the right of way and are not subject to normal traffic signals or speed limits the reverse lettering on the front of the ambulance is purposely done so that when viewed from the rear mirror of the vehicles in front , it reads as AMBULANCE. Thus it is easily identified and allowed to overtake the other vehicles.

Q~ why does a fast bowler have a run up?

A* The bowler is not allowed to bend the elbow while bowling so he cannot make full use of the muscles of the forearm and upper arm to power the ball, as in simple throwing.

When a bowler runs up his mark his arm poised for action and then comes to a sudden stop, the momentum generated during his run is transferred to the swinging arm making it rotate faster. Thus the ball is moved faster than it would have if it were bowled without the bowler running to his mark. Javelin throwers run before throwing the javelin for the same reason.
