What Does Your Son Think of You ?

1. The relation of father and the son is very special, though the understanding about each other undergoes a continuous change with time. The slow and steady change about the capabilities of one's father that goes on in the mind of a son are described in the following paragraphs.

2. When the son is aged around two to five years, the son thinks that his father is a superman and can do anything in the world to perfection, he talks among his friends that his father is great and can do anything better than other children's father. But slowly when his age increases and he is probably in the age group of five to ten years, he starts developing little doubts that his father may not be a superman but in some jobs no one can match his capabilities.

3. Now the changes in thought process when he enters the age group of say eleven to fifteen, he begins to feel that there are so many things that his father is not good at and he has unnecessarily remained under illusion. In fact the son feels that he can do so many jobs better than his father. Still further when he is aged sixteen to twenty, it becomes very clear to him that his feather is useless and cannot do anything right, the son thinks that if he was not around everything would have gone wrong.

4. After reaching the age group of twenty to thirty he takes control and does not consult his father for anything because he thinks that father alone is responsible for all the things that have gone wrong and it would have been better if he had realized about the dopiness of his father earlier.

5. Then when things start going wrong under his control, he starts to again think probably his father was right in tackling some issues and may be his advise could be taken for undertaking the tasks in fathers area of expertise, by this time the old man has either passed off or lost the ability to think because of neglect.

6. Therefore I do think the idea about the capabilities of the father goes a full circle in the mind of the son in his lifetime.
