What Happens When Children Take The Initiative
posted June 12, 2007 - 11:34pmOn my many travels through malls and stores, I see children who react towards me in a variety of ways. Some stop and stare at me, others ask their parents why I'm in the wheelchair, while others have been known to run up to me and ask me themselves. Questions don't bother me; in fact, I would rather have children ask than have them stare. Some parents get really embarrassed when their children start asking questions, but I look at it as part of learning. If kids weren't inquisitive, how would they find out about the world?
