Since I decided to open up this account as mompreneur, I wasn't quite sure what it was I intended to write for the first entry. Yeah, I want to chronicle my life and experiences in this business but what should I say first? There is so much to write about, and at the same time none of it seemed like a good opening. Nor does this, apparently. I'm surprised you've continued on.

So I decided to go with the definition of Mompreneur and go into a little of my goals for writing here. After all, I am a busy work at home mom and, well, I think that says everything there is to say in that aspect.

What is a Mompreneur?

Well, that is an entrepreneur who happens to be a mom. Although I am not your traditional mompreneur, I like to think I am still one. I didn't start a business in the traditional sense, instead offering my writing/virtual assistant services for money. Not only does it work for my needs as a single mom, it has become my passion. I've always loved to write and now I am able to earn some money because of it.

So why Xomba?

I have been blogging at Ask Angel for nearly 2 years now. I've been able to spread myself into a variety of areas by writing advice articles on different topics 3 times a week. Then of course we can't forget Demandez L'Ange which has been my personal blog for over a year and a half now. In the end, neither of them were the right place for me to just get out everything I had to say about my life as a mompreneur. They both have their own categories and I wanted to spread my word outside of those 2 websites into something much more public and reachable. Xomba just seemed like the right option.

As time passes and I write more here, my ultimate goal is to help like-minded individuals find the inspiration they need to work from their own homes in an area that best suits them. Whether they're dadpreneurs, mompreneur, auntpreneurs, unclepreneurs, or just the average entrepreneur. I would like to reach beyond my mom bounds and help inspire as many people as I can to reach for what they are looking for and prove to them that it is possible. Afterall, I did it. If I can do it, anyone can do it. It just takes a healthy mix of inspiration and determination.

For now, though, I am just a mompreneur trying to make my own way through this work at home world.
