What is eCPM in google adsense

What is eCPM in google adsense

It's the cost per 1000 impressions.

If you get 1000 impressions and have made $1 the CPM would be $1

I don't think it effects how much you earn, It's more of a giude to show you how much you do earn in relation to the amount of ppageviews.

thats how i understand it..
