You probably have heard emo music. Probably someone emotional recommended you check emo out. Possibly they were crying, wearing a tight sweater or quoting impossibly saccharine lyrics from songs about crushed hearts using celestial imagery. Needless to say, emo, or emocore as it sometimes is known, is one of indie rock's most misunderstood genres.
