What is juicycampus, www.juicycampus.com, Postings in juicy campus

Juicycampus.com is a posting web in over 60 universities in US, founded by Matt Ivester, with the purpose of posting ridiculous and hilarious things that students did. However, it went awry as many of the posts exploit hatreds, sexist comments and exposing people's private lives.

Posts such as "Who is the fattest girl on campus?" or "Who is the prettiest?" to "Who are gay in your campus?" found their ways to being posted. Many students and parents complained and asked Ivester to take down those posting. However, so far, juicy campus rarely took down offending posting.

"The communications Decency Act of 1996, which says that the Web site owner is fully immune from liability from anything, for anything that is posted there by a third party," makes Ivester could do whatever he wants with his website. This has made Anne Millgram, the attorney general of New Jersey, concerned and started her investigation. Millgram took a different approach, the Consumer Fraud Acts.

Although the investigation is still going on, others like Google and AdBrite have already pulled their ads. Students make their own stands, Facebook groups beseech students not to log in. At Duke, where Matt Ivester graduated from, less and less students log in as most of what's written in the posting are not true. The victim of the posting in juicycampus has also came forward and decided to ignored what was being said in juicycampus.com.
