Think of innovative ways to surprise those with whom you have been associated one time or another. Recently, when I purchased a gift for my wife, her joy knew no limits. Neither it was her birthday ,nor I had got some additional money to go for the gift. I just thought a gift may end the boredom in our life. It indeed did, as we started behaving like old lovers. Based on this success when I gifted a beautiful and costly conference bag to my subordinate, he was taken aback. I could clearly see he was hiding his happiness. For years he had seen me taking endless number of bags to my home where they were of no use. By one stroke, I had brought a welcome change in both of our lives. Recently, when I contacted my school friend through google search after 30 years, he wrote an emotionally-charged note which was full of old memories. I am now well connected to him, and we are trying to form our group by locating our old friends in different parts of the world. Devising effective strategies to forge strong links with people of different temperaments is the biggest challenge of modern life. Our egoes should not be an obstacle in re-defining our relationships with people whom we interact.
