What Is The Longest Offshore Pipeline In The World?

To supply the energy needs of the UK, which has seen output from it's own North Sea fields dwindle, the longest subsea pipeline in the world has been built. Using 44 and 48 inch sections of pipe, over 90,000 of them welded together, the pipeline snakes it's way through undersea valleys and across ridges to reach the UK over 1100 km away.
