What's So Special About a Disney Cruise
posted December 27, 2007 - 3:23amIf you have cruised before on other cruise lines, I'll bet you find a Disney Cruise as a step or two above your traditional cruise experience. Don't get me wrong, Carnival and Royal offer some amazing packages, but a Disney Cruise comes with Disney innovations and that little extra touch of Disney "magic."
A Disney Cruise offers one of the most unique cruise experiences afloat. Disney Cruise ships incorporate a number of innovative ideas including passenger cabins with a bath-and-a-half. This extra bathroom makes cabin time so much more enjoyable, especially when traveling with the family.
Disney pioneered the rotating dining room schedule where passengers eat meals at three different restaurants - but still with the same tablemates and wait staff.
This rotating system on Disney Cruise ships allows passengers to experience all of the ships restaurants, and it's a very time efficient way to handle crowds.
Finally, Disney Cruise lines launched the "soda card" concept, an idea which has been picked up by many of their competitors. Disney Cruise ships now offer free soda in their three restaurants and at the self-service beverage station on the pool deck.
I'll write more about Disney Cruises this week - lots to blog about...
