In recent years, plasma and LCD televisions have been the primary choices for consumers to consider when shopping for a new television. LCD sets have topped plasma TVs in sales in general. Plasma originally had some problems that gave it a reputation which has stuck unnecessarily. It no longer has a shorter life expectancy and it's problems with screen burn in have been all but eliminated. Now with lower energy consumption, perhaps it's time for consumers to review the facts and decide if a plasma TV might not be a good choice.
