When the heart Stops
posted September 1, 2008 - 10:10amWhen the heart stops, the organs in our body will die. Our brain will no longer be able to recieve blood and oxygen. This will result to brain damage and eventually death.
The heart plays in important role in life since it is the pumping organ of our system. It is responsible for pumping oxygenated blood to all parts of the body.
As the heart stops the electrical impulse is no longer present and when an ECG machine is attached to the patient, what often see is a flatline.

The only solution would be is to provide CPR. That is why CPR training is really important since heart disease is the number one killer disease right now.
