When You Come to Town Again

When You Come to Town Again

When you come to town again
You'll find me here
Not that I'm waiting
For you to appear
Not that these past three years
I've been alone
Not that my love's so deep
I feel it in my bones

Oh, My!

You know I play with "old" words, too. Like,"Eh?" I thought of posting this on it's own in response to your, "Oh?" But I was certainly unsure I could point the path it began upon, the trail leading from 'here' to it, 'there,' and any resonance it might have, or not. But this little nook can do. This came to mind, as in the mind of the one who your speaker waited for, waited to return to town. But in him it was not so outsaid, so strong, it had been an invitation, one to travel to another place or time. . .But before he left town, to come back again, at another place in space and time. . . he intimated it to the speaker-you, to you . . . "In any event," he said. In any event I see a certain sadness coming: Omens signposts but mostly in your eyes. --Let's outrun it you and I or try at least. I worry about hurting you not myself so much, and yet I can't help but feel I have Hurt you -- touched you with only words that weren't designed as such and got not sunrises but sunsets. --- and that hurts me that I hurt you. =-=-= And now again, I see you waiting, waiting years we could have done some other things with. . . I'll have to leave soon again ------------------------------------ Eh?

Oh?
