Where are my dreams?

Where are my dreams
The dreams that I had
When I was a little girl
And the dreams that I had
Just last year
Where are my dreams
Dreams that made me feel
Something worthwhile
And something so strong
That
it would put a smile in my heart
Where are my dreams
The dreams that made me look forward
To the future so I can achieve my goals
With no worries
No fears, no confusions
A toddler, I was
With not a care in the world
Not a place to go to
Only my dreams
NOTE: I wrote this poem when I was high school. One of the last good poems that I've written before I got writer's block. Obviously, I don't have to say that I had been a troubled teenager when I was in high school. But what can you expect from a teenager that was dragged out of her home island with her friends 2000 miles away from her? Probably more than people would expect. If you ask me, all I remember in high school is that I didn't like my high school and I didn't like anything about where I was. And also, I remember not only spending my entire high school career trying to be accepted by the other kids, but also trying to be accepted by my family. I've only successed at one task, i was accepted by the other kids in school, not my family. They didn't accept me as a kid and they hadn't accept me in high school, not then, not now.
