Where Did Customer Service Go?

Where Did Customer Service Go?

I am really surprised by the lack of "customer service" in almost all the places that I go to. Many times a clerk or cashier will say something to someone, that will shock me and make me think "I can't believe they just said that."  Most of the time they say things that could get them fired if their employer happened to overhear the conversation.

If it is not the exact words, the attitudes of many employees today leave much to be desired. The customer is the reason why that person has a job. "The customer is always right" is a very old and wise vision. With the economy in bad shape, it is essential that the employees get their priorities in correct perspective in order to keep their jobs. There are hundreds or thousands of people without jobs that would be thrilled to have those jobs if only the people in them would give them up.

customer service

This is so true. Too many clerks act like you are bothering them.
