Where is Johnny Mathis Now?

Where is Johnny Mathis Now?

Quite possibly the purest voice ever. Johnny Mathis sang songs like, Sign of the Dove, Maria, What Would My Mary Say...Truly beautiful music. Johnny Mathis will be remembered in America's history as one of the best and purist voices ever to grace America's music lovers.

What has happened to Johnny Mathis? I have not heard anything about him in quite a few years.

I remember as a small boy my Mother would play records from artists of this same era, Billy Eckstien's, A Cottage for Sale or My Mamma Done Told Me. Or some Bobby Vinton's, Blue Velvet, Soldier Boy even Elvis, but always I wanted to here Johnny Mathis.

Where is Johnny Mathis now? I hope he is happy and comfortable. Surrounded by good things, and able to think back on a lifetime of tremendous talent and all the happiness he brought to many fans. Including this one.

I remember my parents listening to him. So smooth, and a great voice. Just for the heck of it I looked him up on Wikipedia. It seems he's 73 years old, and still performs the rare show now and then.

BTW, just in case you're ever trying to find it, the actual title of "My Mama Done Told Me" (assuming we're talking about the same song) is "Blues in the Night" (and it's a killer of a song!)
