With the current season of American Idol getting down to the final twelve men and women that will provide the American Idol television audience with entertainment, suspense and delight or dismay, depending on how your favorite finishes in the American Idol voting results.
Thinking about Season Five I came to the conclusion that Kellie Pickler was the actual American Idol of that talent-filled final.
Kellie Pickler's mother had a lot of problems and left the family when Kellie was a little girl; her father had legal problems and spent several years away from their home town.
Luckily, Kellie Pickler's grandmother was able to take Kellie in and provide a home for her so she could go to school and get an idea of what she wanted to do as an adult.
Behind that cheery, smiling face that the American Idol audience grew to love and teared-up with when she was critiqued by Simon Cowell; was a girl who didn't have a smooth road to the Hollywood American Idol Finals and who became a woman on the American Idol Summer Concert Tour of America and who was the first Season Fiver to record and release a CD.
