Who Will Win the Australian Open Men's Finals? Djokovic vs Tsonga

Who Will Win the Australian Open Men's Finals? Novak Djokovic or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga?

Both have done amazing jobs. Federer was felled by Djokovic in three sets, and number 2 Nadal was thrashed by Tsonga in three straight sets. So the world's number one and two are out, replaced by these two “upstarts”. This final will be, since the 2005 Australian Open, the first Grand Slam final not hosting either Federer or Nadal.

Tsonga from France, because of his looks, is called the Muhammad Ali of tennis. Maybe it's more than looks. He really played a superb match against Nadal. But no less stunning was Serbian Djovoci's performance against Federer.

Their final is coming up on Sunday. And all tennis fans wait with anticipation. While mourning the loss of Federer and Nadal, it's refreshing to see new faces. Somehow, the game seems energised and rejuvenated.

Did I say who I thought would win? No – because I have no idea, but it will be a fine match, I have no doubt, that should not be missed.

Correction

alittleofeverything, Thank you for pointing out the error! You are correct. I will correct the relevant part to say: "This final will be, since the 2005 Australian Open, the first Grand Slam final not hosting either Federer or Nadal." I think that is accurate.

I think Novak Djokovic will

I think Novak Djokovic will win and I think that will be a very fun final. Tsonga played such an amazing match against Nadal I hope he can play the same way in the Final. By the way, you said that this is the first time since 2005 not be hosting either Federer or Nadal in the final, Nadal never made it to the final. This year was his first semifinal appearance at the Australian Open ;) All about Tennis http://tenniswta.blogspot.com http://tennis-atp.blogspot.com
