Who Won The Second Presidential Debate - McCain or Obama?
The second presidential debate was rather boring to say the least. Obama lied through his teeth as usual. But McCain was a little slow on the comebacks. He missed some great opportunities to bring out the true colors of Obama.
McCain already has a track record. But who is Obama really? The more I find out about Obama, the more scared I become. Can we really have someone as green as Obama run the United States? So what is this fine that Obama will impose? He never did respond to the question from McCain.
So who won the second presidential debate. I would definitely say McCain.

The fine
Actually Obama did explain that. McCain tried to play it up, but it's actually a fine only for not insuring children which, as Obama pointed out, is relatively inexpensive but can make a big difference in the child's health.
It's there in the debate, and in the transcript.
You're Right Idlewild
I think I meant how much. We still don't know that.
Actually...according to
Actually...according to Obama's plan:
"Employers that do not offer or make a meaningful contribution to the cost of quality health care coverage for their employees will be required to contribute a percentage of payroll toward the costs of the national plan."
This raises several questions:
1. What is meant by a "meaningful contribution"? Will that be determined by Obama and his administration?
2. What does Obama consider "quality" health care? And will that minimum be mandated by the federal government?
3. What is the percentage of payroll (the fine) that these employers will be forced to pay? And should employers be forced to pay for an individual's health care?
He didn't answer questions regarding this plan in the debate. He does not explain it in his "Blueprint for Change." He cannot tell us about these mandates and fines because his plan will then be openly stated as what we already know it to be, but refuse to say.

Details
I doubt that either candidate has all the specifics off their various plans spelled out in detail. And even if they did, it could be changed when the time comes to draft legislation.
