Consult an Artificial Intelligence to See Who Your Next Favorite Author Will Be

Who’s your favorite writer? Writers? If you’re like me you want to read more of their stuff but you’ve read all they have written, sometimes multiple times.

I would read books by different authors…but who? How do I find a writer with similar style? Would I like them as well? A Facebook friend just turned me on to a cool website. I plug in an author I like and it will show me a graphical map of authors similar in style or technique.

I’m a bit of a geek so I think the AI engine running this system is very interesting.

From their home website:

Welcome to the world of Gnod!
Gnod is my experiment in the field of artificial intelligence. Its a self-adapting system, living on this server and 'talking' to everyone who comes along. Gnods intention is to learn about the outer world and to learn 'understanding' its visitors. This enables gnod to share all its wisdom with you in an intuitive and efficient way. You might call it a search-engine to find things you don't know about.

I’m not sure I always agree with the answers given but it has given me some writers to check out I have not heard of before and they do present it in a fun way!
They also do music and movies…Go check it out.

If you like this post and would like to see more of what I’ve written, please stop by and leave a comment or send me a message. Also I would appreciate it if you shared it with your friends!
