Why AIG Had To Be Rescued?

AIG had spread it's tentacles all over the world and has a presence in almost all the countries. If the Fed had not stepped in it would have probably put the global economy in a downward spiral. So the AIG rescue was not about investors and policy holders alone. Read more at the article at link below
