Why Cupid?

Why Cupid?

Why Cupid? Why Cupid? Why cupid? I found this saying when I was curious enough to research sayings and greetings related to Valentine's Day. Then I remembered a couple of pictures I could match with it from my archive of family photos. This one is a picture of my older 2 year-old daughter when she was 9 or 10 months old. Now that isn't the type of look I want to see on a child's face if they're weilding a weapon. Don't worry, she wasn't holding a weapon. (I think she was pulling up on the sofa). It's just that look. (I would never let her near a weapon, so please don't call CPS on me).
Who thought of a cherubic toddler wielding a weapon as something romantic? That's the last thing I'm thinking of when I am trying to get into a romantic mood. Isn't that called birth control? Just the thought of my toddler during a romantic moment could be considered birth control. I guess that's what's caused a lot of people to get married in the first place (though it's not a very good reason, if you ask me): the unplanned pregnancy. So maybe that's the real cupid behind a lot of romances.
