Why do it The Legal Way, if One May Spend Billions of Taxpayers' Money Instead?

Why do it The Legal Way, if One May Spend Billions of Taxpayers' Money Instead?

Politicians are such frauds. A further example of their stupidity and their false pretentions towards the good of the people is right now surfacing in the EU, again.

In the aftermath of a further smoker going up in smoke (excuse the pun) while smoking in her bed, it is considered by European politicians to put burn stop rings onto cigarettes. You read correctly. They want to add a chemical device onto cigarettes to stop them from burning down further if the smoker stops pulling actively. What utter and blatant nonsense this is.

It is not the idea of keeping people out of harm’s way when smoking in bed that makes politicians such utter fools. It is their ignoring to the point of obstinacy what is really going on in the tobacco industry. Or are they all so utterly bought by the lobbyists that they just follow like sheep into the manger? Why don’t they first look at the product and what is inside it? But most of them don’t even know how to read, so why bother asking.

Let’s start at the beginning. We all know cigarettes, either by smoking them ourselves, or by seeing and smelling others smoking them. But do you know what is inside of that cigarette? I mean, do you really believe that there is only tobacco inside the paper? Or do you know that there is a deadly cocktail of chemicals mixed into the tobacco? You probably don’t know, do you.

In a research done in Switzerland a few years back, it was proven that 30 per cent of a cigarette, or rather of the part of the cigarette that should be tobacco, was actually added chemicals ranging from taste improving chemicals over perfumes to additives that improved regular burning down of the tobacco while preventing the cigarette from going out by itself. Going out by itself? Meaning, tobacco does not naturally burn down? Right! Wouldn’t it then be easier to make the industry remove those additives than to invent a chemical barrier against the cigarette burning down? Damn right it would. But that would be admitting that we have been lied to all the time.

By the by, don't think you are out of the chemical warfare just because you happen to smoke cigars or pipe. The chemical additives in pipe tobacco still are at 25 per cent, and in the so called natural cigars they are at 20 per cent.

The major first lie being told constantly is that nicotine is addictive. If that were so, we all would be hooked on tomatoes and eggplant. Both plants contain nicotine in their skins, and as we eat those normally we also eat nicotine. So, either put ugly pictures of cankered stomachs on to the tomatoes, or stop lying about nicotine. Actually, nicotine is a needed trace element in our food. We have addicted cells, therefore, each and every one of us obviously.

Really and utterly addictive are only chemicals added by the industry into the tobacco mix. To come from bad to worse, they are addictive on purpose, to hook the smoker as fast as possible and to a certain brand. This was all shown in this study in Switzerland. It was never published, and the guy who did it on money from the government was sacked. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it? But it made interesting reading, when the guy showed me all the data on his laptop.

So, instead of making big, stupid, expensive stop smoking campaigns paid for by the taxpayer, politicians just could go forbid the adding of these addictive or even all chemical substances to the naturally harmless tobacco. Ah yes, I forgot, they don’t want to. Something to do with their bank accounts probably. Everybody makes a hue and cry over kids sniffing ammonia, but that’s exactly what’s in cigarettes, too. So politicians make us smoke chemicals that are detrimental to health in the full knowledge of what they do.

Isn’t it much easier and far more profitable for politicians instead, to squander tax money by the billion, first for stop smoking campaigns which are obviously unnecessary once you stop the industry from adding these certain chemicals including ammonia; and secondly for a chemical that will stop the cigarette from burning down, when all it takes is to forbid the industry to add chemicals for continued and easy burning of cigarettes?

But first now, there will come the time of the funny pictures on the cigarette packages. Cost tax payers more billions again, but certainly some people earned good money out of it. I expect that burn victim pictures will be added to all match boxes and lighters soon, stab victim pictures to all knives and forks, pictures of girls and boys with bulimia on all light food and drink products and fat asses on all burgers and fish and chips. Otherwise, what the heck are they doing? Ah, forgot again, they don’t do anything, that’s what politicians do best, just after looking after their bank accounts.
