Why Hillary Clinton Is Arrogant - Know When To Say When

The Democratic party is falling down the rabbit hole and Hillary Clinton does not seem to care. Having clearly lost the Democratic nomination, she simply will not concede defeat. While this is a wonderful characteristic in a football game, this is simply selfish in the world of politics.

Hillary Clinton is a woman that I do not particularly agree with on many issues, but I have always found her to be a formidable and worthy politician. She showed dignity and class during the Monica Lewinsky fiasco, and has fought hard for the cause of health care in America among other issues. Why now is she choosing to linger on with no chance of winning?

The only benefit to her remaining on board and trying to defeat Senator Barack Obama at this point is her own grandstanding. This sullies her reputation and it is killing any chance for the Democratic party to fill the White House. How can a split party beat the machine that is the Republican party? It can not.

If ever there were a time to step away and allow the party to try to repair its torn loyalties, it is now Hillary Clinton. You fought the good fight, and now it is time to settle into a more important role. Securing the White House for your party.

This is not an attack on Hillary Clinton. If I had my choice she would have been the winner over Obama by a slim margin. This is simply about the arrogance level she is showing in the face of defeat. Her recent win in West Virginia was impressive, yet it did nothing to change the outcome of the race. Even if she were to go on to an even more impressive win in the coming states, she still would lose.

The real winner in all of this is John McCain. Obama and Hillary are simply using each other as shields. McCain can sit idly by, and look as though he is taking the high road as far as dirty politics. As long as Hillary is there to trash Obama, why should McCain dirty his hands?

Looks like we are heading for another Republican President.
