why is stuff getting smaller and more expensive

So I will start this with saying that I hate burger king, dial soap and dreyers ice cream.
That being said here is the rant.
I went to burger king last night and got 2 kids meals for 3.19 each I got my money back because I had to wait 15 minutes for the food. That's not too bad but when I went to a different one it was more money. When I asked why he said the prices went up and it just got worse from there.
Corperate greed has taken this country by storm, here are a few examples that are a the front of my mind.
Mcdonalds big and tasty was 1 dollar now the same sandwich is over 3.
All the dollar menu stuff is 1.29 now.
Ice cream was in half gallon containers, now its 1.75, more money
Dail soap changed the shape of their soap so that they have less of it on one bar.
10 years ago when I worked in a pop can plant when they changed the size of the lid on the pop can from 206 mm to 202 mm. This change saved the company millions and the price of soda stayed the same.
Toilet paper. I remember when the rolls were smaller but guess what, so was the cardboard in the center of the roll. When you make the center bigger you will of cours have a bigger roll, also remember how tight it used to be rolled compared to the loose ones nowadays.

The only thing that has not changed in 20 years....
Costco hot dog and soda is STILL $1.50
