Xomba Pays Us As Much as Britney Spears Does
posted May 28, 2007 - 1:08pmDigging my Xomba-Love, I was shown (by the "possibly same-as" feature Nick ought to add to Xomblurbs) a lot of links to "Join Xomba for the Money"-articles.
I'm sorry; but, if you're joining Xomba 'for the money,' then you're missing a few points here:

WWE-Money Doesn't Come from the Pain!
FIRST—'10100-ish Consumer-Communications' isn't falling all over themselves to give writers money; and we aren't exactly aching to give any to them. I would go on-and-on about their feelings about our wealth, but I don't dare to presume I know ... which brings me to the ...
SECOND—Money Is Imaginary! Oh, it's "real" in that "a lot of it takes up more space than a little of it" and "a lot of it provides more purchasing-power than a little of it." But you don't really know you have it until you use it!
But think of it this way: in school, a boy you know is running for class-president. He offers to pay a nickel to everyone who votes for him. So you figure you'll vote for him, as it means you'll have one nickel you wouldn't have had otherwise—an imaginary 5-cents in the bank.
Then you learn he has made arrangements with the school-cafeteria to add some 'treat' to the lunches that will cost you an extra dollar a day—an imaginary hundred-som dollars you have to pay because you voted for him.
It's like getting a 1% raise when inflation raises 'everything's' price 100% ('everything' probably meaning "gasoline" to you).
