Why would circumcision decrease a man's risk of contracting AIDS?

Three separate studies designed to clinically assess the connection between circumcision and a lower risk of getting AIDS began in 2002. Last year, the first set of results came in. In the study conducted in Orange Farm township, South Africa, preliminary results showed an astounding 63 percent decrease HIV infection in circumcised, heterosexual men compared to uncircumcised, heterosexual men.
