Wild Life Camp at Wayanad

Hi. I'm setting up a wild life nature camp at Greenwood Estate. It's located at Peria 35, near Wayanad, Kerala.

Check out some pictures of this camp:

The main theme behind the camp is to give working professionals in India, a retreat for a day and half, from all the boring and routine luxuries of their regular life. The camp is surrounded by wild forests, which are deemed Ecologically Fragile Land [EFL] by the Kerala Forest Department. Hence, the place is completely alien to technologies that most of us enjoy today.

The non-human visitors to the camp include wild elephants who travel in herds through the Wayanad forest following a path which the locals call 'Aana Chal'. Also, you would find wild deers, antelopes, boars, wild cats and hundreds of different species of beautiful birds.

Activities that the guests can enjoy include, a 12 mile trek though the forest, visiting the two tribal villages in that path, and an all night long camp-fire. More activities will be included with time, based on our guest visitor's feedback.

The total fee for the 1 and half day stay is just Rs. 2000 or $40. You are welcome to extend your stay for another 3 more days for no extra charge. Food is not included in the above fee, though upon request, we can provide you with home made kerala dishes for minimal charge of Rs. 30 or $0.5 per meal. Another alternative is that you could pack and bring your own food if you are not comfortable with Kerala cuisine.
