Will Sarah Palin be The First "Woman" President in 2012? - "God Will Show the Way"

After history being created and all racial barriers broken to welcome the first African American black President, Barack Obama into the White House, will America also succeed in breaking the gender barrier to welcome a "woman" President in the year 2012?

Sarah PalinSarah Palin

Sarah Palin, the defeated vice-presidential candidate of the Republican party has great amount of faith in God to show her the way to the White house. In her interview to Fox news recently, she said she hopes that God will Show her the way before she decides on any future bid for Presidency.

She, however, did not make any commitments as to whether she would be contesting for the US Presidency in four years. But, Sarah Palin remains devoutly religious at 44 years and a mother of five and is willing to put her life in her Creator's hands, she says. For her faith in God is a very big and important part of her life. She also said in her interview that if she was shown any open doors, she would definitely not miss them. That is, if she found a door open, say in 2012, then she would plow right through it.

Well, we wish her all the best and also America all the best.

@Idlewild

Maybe Nick Should make her the Brand Ambassador for Xomba. She could draw huge crowds and get good publicity for Xomba too. I think the Xomba T-shirt would look cute on her too. She could inspire all the stay-at-home moms to join Xomba and write for a living. I believe she is already being hounded by literary agents to start writing her experiences and to tell all in a book. She could make billions from all the opportunities that are pounding her front door right now.

She's cute, Isn't she? @mamamia

Hahhaa.. Well, some people are slow learners. And the way she keeps stressing on the fact that I am not a "Medical Doctor" but a "Dentist" Doctor is like as if it is an insult to be a dentist, or some lowly kind of a profession??? BTW, Dear Veghead, its a "BDS" in India and not "DDS" as you mentioned. Kindly correct that, cause we wouldn't want to deliberately be misleading people with false information, y'know..! You could add a PGDHA in front of that degree too. Doctor Rawnak BDS, PGDHA. Now is that educated enough? Definitely more educated (as per your standards) than a BA, isn't it?

@Veg - How Could I have Missed this :-)

"some of you will recall that she once angrily protested my great admiration for India’s proud vegetarian tradition, as if my stating the obvious was an insult to her homeland, which has sadly become increasingly unhealthy because of its recent embrace of the high-animal-product Western junk food diet to show its affluence" This is an extremely cute statement Veg. How did I miss it! But in case you are serious - let me clarify. India doesnt have a "proud vegetarian tradition". The most famous Indian, Gandhi, was vegetarian and has made a touching description of his tryst with non-vegetarianism in his biography, which is well highlighted - so maybe you are confusing all Indians to be vegetarians till "western junk food" spoiled them! As far as i know my forefathers and their forefathers too age non - veg food (I am not really saying it proudly, for I am on the verge of turning veg). India has a complicated caste system and mostly that dictates who eats veg or non-veg. I think 70-80 % of Indians would be Non-vegetarian by that tradition. Geography too plays a role in who eats what. Nowadays with exposure (yes we do have TV and internet too, u know) veg or non-veg is mostly by personal choice as the old system doesnt really have much say. Your statement is really as cute as Dubya's statement that India and China are eating more, so the prices of essential commodities have gone up (he did say that - honestly!) outa here, kids

Does anybody else get repeats of the same comments in their email, or am I the only lucky one? Don’t answer that ‘cause I won’t see it. Be that as it may, I just want to say that I made a mistake by taking on this silly and really pretty innocuous xomblurb about Sarah Palin. The election is over and so is she, and making a big deal over nothing (i.e., that rawnak finds it charming that Palin believes God talks to her, which is, after all, what a gazillion other religious schizophrenics, not to mention Dean Koontz, also believe) was stupid of me. All I accomplished was to draw a crowd here and make more money for the politically incredibly astute and amazingly scholarly if historically revisionist Doctor Rawnak, DDS (some of you will recall that she once angrily protested my great admiration for India’s proud vegetarian tradition, as if my stating the obvious was an insult to her homeland, which has sadly become increasingly unhealthy because of its recent embrace of the high-animal-product Western junk food diet to show its affluence). Go figure. Speaking of veggies, I yam what I yam, which means I call it as I see it, so I make no apologies for whatever I’ve written here. But mentally masturbating about the loser Palin and the moribund Republican Party is really a waste of my Net time, and yours too, for that matter. So I will generously give all my fans the last word, and that doesn’t happen too often, so enjoy it while you can. Go out and play, kids. Thanks to global warming, it’s a lovely spring day!

But she refuses to go away!

How can a person "rest in peace" if they refuse to die or go away? Sarah Palin gave two major interviews in the 8 weeks or so that she was a VP candidate. She's given easily four times that number in the 12 days since the election. She's everywhere... talking about politics, caribou hunting, moose, energy, you name it. She obviously wants to keep her profile very high, and Xombies are happy to oblige. Maybe Nick can land an exclusive interview with her? Some of her kids must be online... perhaps we can get some of them to join Xomba? That would be worth a bonus of 1,000 extra Xombie user points!

Let Sarah Rest in Peace

Yes, Rawnak let's let Sarah rest in peace(even though she's not dead politically). As for our founding fathers no where in the constitution or their writings did they say anything about a seperation of church, and state, although in the preamble of the constitution I believe the word God is mentioned. The constitution talks about not establishing a national church, and allowing people to worship, or not as they see fit. Nothing about taking God out of politics, or politicans. In fact, one founding father said that America needs churches to guide our moral compass so that democracy can flourish. He knew that unbridled capitalism couldn't work without some morality. And he knew that immoral politicans could reek havic. As we can plainly see by recent events. I will take Rawnak's prayers, and best wishes for America any day. She probably thinks we are all crazy here by now, anyway. Some how I don't blame her. Anyway in my last job did I mention that I worked with some highly educated people from Indians. And they were just as politically astute as the rest of us. We got in quite a discussion on how American protests differ from those in India. Anyway... As any Christian can attend, I too hope God will speak to me about my direction in life. My life works better with God in it. Whether He(God) speaks to George Bush or not, you will have to ask God about that, I don't speak for Him.

Clearing some misconceptions

I can see that poor Veghead is at it again. Let me clear up some misconceptions - First things first, "I think if rawnak believes Sarah Palin is a viable candidate for the position of leader of the free world, that pretty much proves how politically astute she is (not very)--about American politics, at least." I have not said anywhere in my post or any of my comments anywhere on Xomba ,or anywhere else for that matter, that I "believe" Sarah Palin is a viable Candidate for anything. I have only written a byte on what Sarah Palin said in her interview that she gave to Fox news. I don't care for politics, period. Be it American or any other country. I hate politics and therefore do not like to get into any debates or discussions regarding it. However, I have expressed my desire to see America also break the "gender" barrier and elect a "Woman" President in the next round of elections, whenever that may be. As for "who" the woman would be, I couldn't care any less seriously! Secondly ; Your idea of education is slightly screwed, I must say. So you think a college "degree" is essential for a person to be "highly" educated? I don't think so. A person need not necessarily have studied in a college or university to gain "education". One who learns to read and write can attain an education for himself or herself, if there is a will to do so. There are many such self educated (and mind you very highly too) people in India. Thanks Wagon Load for your comments. I appreciate it. And thanks Publius, for once I agree with what you have said. The elections are over. The deed is done. Poor Sarah Palin has had her fill. Let her live in peace now. She has changed her profession to become a "Calender Girl".

"I think if rawnak believes

"I think if rawnak believes Sarah Palin is a viable candidate for the position of leader of the free world, that pretty much proves how politically astute she is (not very)--about American politics, at least." I find it funny that you are still trying to hammer away on Palin when the election has been over for 12 days. And to claim rawnak is not politically astute is sort of like that pot and kettle thing. Apparently you have not been reading your own opinions and analysis of U.S. politics. "...that shows in her lack of knowledge about basic stuff, like how many countries there are in North America (another fact she got wrong)." I see you've bought into the nonsense from the campaign people who don't like her and who refuse to come out publicly and make those preposterous accusations. Another example of your own political astuteness. "All you had to do was watch the Biden/Palin debate or the Katie Couric interview to realize how ignorant she is." You mean that debate where Biden lied just about every time he opened his mouth? The one where Palin cleaned his clock (on the facts, maybe not on style)? Why don't you ask Joe about Katie's Restaurant where he spends "a lot of time"...you know, the one that closed in the 80's? "Even after the election she was still bad-mouthing Obama about his so-called association with people like Bill Ayers and she all but called him a terrorist during the campaign. That's nasty, mean-spirited and untrue." Actually, it's none of the above: The Obama Spider-Web That's just what we know as of now - and it's not even an exhaustive list. You are good at denigration and quite vitriolic, but politically astute you are not. *If you're interested in reading my articles, Click Here.

rawnak has a lot of fans

Maybe she should run for president! But she's not a medical doctor, she's a dentist (which is fine--the world certainly needs dentists, but it's not the same profession). I think if rawnak believes Sarah Palin is a viable candidate for the position of leader of the free world, that pretty much proves how politically astute she is (not very)--about American politics, at least. I have a Bachelor's degree too, from three years in one college plus a year of study abroad. But having a BA doesn't necessarily mean you know anything, and to make matters worse, Palin has been all over the map with her college education (three or four different colleges and majors, I believe), and that shows in her lack of knowledge about basic stuff, like how many countries there are in North America (another fact she got wrong). All you had to do was watch the Biden/Palin debate or the Katie Couric interview to realize how ignorant she is. She kept refusing to answer the questions posed to her because she couldn't answer them. By all accounts, she's bright enough and certainly has chutzpah--her problem is plain ignorance, which could be remedied if she applied herself. But we've already had eight years of a guy who claims God talks to him and tells him what to do (including killing innocent people in an illegal war, apparently), and who doesn't believe in the separation of church and state, which goes against our Constitution. Do we need another president like that? As the great Lily Tomlin famously said, when you talk to God, it's prayer, but when God talks to you, it's schizophrenia. And I didn't say she swore--I said she had a nasty mouth on her. Even after the election she was still bad-mouthing Obama about his so-called association with people like Bill Ayers and she all but called him a terrorist during the campaign. That's nasty, mean-spirited and untrue.

mythman, Lindsay and Sarah have much in common

So it's not surprising you almost confused them, since they both think wearing the skin and hair of other animals is ethical, and by my observation, they're both a bit lacking in the education department.
